July GDT Stacey's Take On Sketch #80

Hello and welcome back! We are so happy that you are joining us today!

We have a special treat for you today. We have a wonderfully talented guest designer joining us with her take on Sketch #80. Please help us welcome, Stacey, of  Stacey's Creative Corner.

Hi! My name is Stacey and I am so happy to be a guest designer for the Sketches In Thyme PL Style blog! Let me tell you a little about me. I have been married to my best friend for 26 years and together we have two amazing children and a yellow lab that pretty much rules our house. I started scrapbooking in 2005 and discovered cardmaking during one of my husband's deployments. Slowly cardmaking took over and I seem to create more cards than anything else. Besides cardmaking and scrapbooking, I also like to create mini albums, alter items, make 3D projects, pocket style scrapbooking and loom knitting. I always seem to be a bit behind when it comes to my PL albums. Is it just me?? That is one of the reasons why I love the sketches here, they really help me have some cards on hand and ready to go and the sketches are always so great!! You can find me at my blog Stacey's Creative Corner.

Stacey's card is a great example of how you can use pre-made cards from a kit and make them your own. I love what she has done with this card!

Stacey not only made a card for this week's sketch #80, but she made a complete set using all of our sketches for July! Here is a look at her set of cards:

What a fantastic set of cards ready to be put into an album!

Be sure to stop by Stacey's beautiful blog - Stacey's Creative Corner - to see more of her beautiful work. You are sure to come away from there feeling inspired!

We will be offering up a prize this month. It will be a surprise to the winner, but I'm sure you won't be disappointed! You have until July 31st to get your creations linked up for a chance to win.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Lori's Take On Sketch #77

Hello, everyone! Happy Thursday to you! I am so sorry that I have been absent this week and have not gotten the features and winners for June posted yet. This is our vacation week and computer/internet time has been scarce! I will get the features and winners posted tomorrow!

Today I (Lori) have a card and layout to share with you using this week's sketch, courtesy of Shawn.

Here is the sketch:

This sketch could easily be turned into a filler card, as well.

Since we have been celebrating the 4th of July here in the US, I thought it only fitting to do a patriotic layout. This photo card and my layout will go in my granddaughter's 6x8 album.

For the other two cards in this layout, I have used sketches from last month. I have a few more layouts for her album of the 4th from last year, and I hope to be sharing those in the upcoming weeks using all of our sketches from July.

Be sure to check out my blog - My Happy Life - for more details on my card and layout.

I am still working on getting a prize together for July, so stay tuned for that!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Happy Scrappin'!

Jill's Take On Sketch #77

Hello, scrappy friends! Happy July 1st! Can you believe that it is July?!

We have a busy day planned today with a trip to the zoo, and then fireworks tonight with my family. Sounds like a great day to make some memories!

We have a fun new sketch for you today, courtesy of Shawn Lahr:

For this first day of the month, we have Jill on the blog with her fun take on this sketch:

What a great first day of school photo to add to her album! I love the stars and the apples!

We will have a prize this month, I just haven't had a chance to pull it all together, June seriously got away from me, but as soon as I get it together  I will be sure to post it!

I will be back tomorrow with some features from June and to announce the winner of our June prize, so stay tuned!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a great day!
